The standard processing time at the Irish Embassy / VFS Islamabad is 6–8 weeks from the date AVATS documents are received. Apply at least 3 months before your course start date.

You must show €10,000 in your own bank account as proof of living expenses for one academic year (INIS, 2025), in addition to having paid your full first-year tuition fee upfront.

Yes — students on a Stamp 2 immigration permission can work 20 hours per week during semester and 40 hours per week during scheduled holidays (May–August and 15 December–15 January).

After graduation, you can apply for the Third Level Graduate Programme to remain in Ireland for 24 months on a Stamp 1G permission to find graduate-level employment. This can then convert to a Critical Skills or General Employment Permit.

Yes — Ireland requires that you pay the full first-year tuition fee to your university before submitting your AVATS visa application. The university issues an electronic transfer (TT) receipt as proof.
